Hello everyone!
My name is Tashina Sosa. I am 32 years old and a passionate dog mom. I am a Native American / Mexican from Arizona, and my tribe's name is Tohono O'odham. Living in Oregon and in the pandemic has opened up a school opportunity since I have lost my job. Though that does not say much, I am now bettering myself and working through every aspect I wasn't afforded previously. My fiance was just diagnosed with cancer, so there are a bunch of mediums in which life has thrown curveballs, but I know that we will overcome all obstacles, cancer being the most significant battle yet!
I have previously been a manager at a transportation company for 3 years, and I was a dispatcher for a cable company for 11 years. In 8th grade, I helped create and pass the bullying bill, which is one of my most treasured memories.
I wanted to join the marketing class here at LBCC because I want to open a few businesses and help with my fiances business. I am looking to gather all the necessary tools to benefit my future company and its potential market. I also heard great reviews regarding our instructor Robert Priewe from my advisor, so I was thrilled to be in a highly regarded class by other staff members.
I am working towards my Business Administration degree. I might add some others once this one is completed, though :).
I am interested in learning the ins and outs of marketing, why we do it, and how to succeed. What are the fundamentals and how to reimagine what we are doing to make it revolutionized!
I love spending time with my friends/family, traveling, eating great foods, listening to eclectic music, and watching anime. I really love it when it rains and listening to all the different sounds it makes when it hits other surfaces and how it feels relaxing. I also miss the lightning shows from the rain. We used to get a lot of that from back home. I am originally from Arizona, so the weather changes out here are the best, and from time to time, you will catch an incredible sunset. I do miss that, though, where the sunrises and sunsets were always mesmerizing. I get excited to go to the coast and just watch the waves roll in and listen to the music that it makes, making it majestic. (The sea creatures are definitely a plus!) Though it's usually too windy or cold to go into the water.
