My 1st blog - Marketing!

Hello everyone!

My name is Tashina Sosa. I am 32 years old and a passionate dog mom. I am a Native American / Mexican from Arizona, and my tribe's name is Tohono O'odham. Living in Oregon and in the pandemic has opened up a school opportunity since I have lost my job. Though that does not say much, I am now bettering myself and working through every aspect I wasn't afforded previously. My fiance was just diagnosed with cancer, so there are a bunch of mediums in which life has thrown curveballs, but I know that we will overcome all obstacles, cancer being the most significant battle yet!

I have previously been a manager at a transportation company for 3 years, and I was a dispatcher for a cable company for 11 years. In 8th grade, I helped create and pass the bullying bill, which is one of my most treasured memories.

I wanted to join the marketing class here at LBCC because I want to open a few businesses and help with my fiances business. I am looking to gather all the necessary tools to benefit my future company and its potential market. I also heard great reviews regarding our instructor Robert Priewe from my advisor, so I was thrilled to be in a highly regarded class by other staff members.

I am working towards my Business Administration degree. I might add some others once this one is completed, though :).

I am interested in learning the ins and outs of marketing, why we do it, and how to succeed. What are the fundamentals and how to reimagine what we are doing to make it revolutionized!

I love spending time with my friends/family, traveling, eating great foods, listening to eclectic music, and watching anime. I really love it when it rains and listening to all the different sounds it makes when it hits other surfaces and how it feels relaxing. I also miss the lightning shows from the rain. We used to get a lot of that from back home. I am originally from Arizona, so the weather changes out here are the best, and from time to time, you will catch an incredible sunset. I do miss that, though, where the sunrises and sunsets were always mesmerizing. I get excited to go to the coast and just watch the waves roll in and listen to the music that it makes, making it majestic. (The sea creatures are definitely a plus!) Though it's usually too windy or cold to go into the water.

"Netflix and Chill-Get Your Socks Ready!"

I have chosen NETFLIX to talk about today because what happened at the beginning of the pandemic? We were quarantined, which meant working from home or taking classes online. Whatever we had to do to stay healthy while COVID-19 shook the world. What do we do when we are home? We look more into our streaming services for comfort. Some may have heard or seen the term Netflix and chill more predominantly during the pandemic. Let’s face it since we didn’t have to be seen in person, and most face-to-face interactions were zoom meetings, we wore our pj’s, a nice shirt, and an updo for a meeting then resume our natural state. I mean, we were at home. Netflix also did not let us down. They were ahead of the pandemic in 2016. They used YouTube to show us how to make DIY socks just for the occasion, which if you now had the time on your hands, you can dive in. Though it does not have a step to step instructions, you get the idea. The ideal way to Netflix and chill is to wear your comfy socks is

"Project Rock"

Project Rock: Outlaw Mana -Under Armour  - The Rock  Tech N9ne - Strange Music Productions #Clothes #Gymtime #GetIt #NeverGiveUP When you think of Dwayne Johnson, what comes to mind? For me, that would be “The Rock” from his career in the WWE yelling, “Can you smell what the Rock is cooking!” Raising his iconic eyebrow to his foes before and after matches. Though his career in the WWE has long gone, most people now know Dwayne the Rock Johnson for his acting career.  He has been in at least 57 movies since his transition in 2004. The Rock is also a huge advocate for exercise and keeping in shape. We can watch his Instagram and see all of his time in and out of the gym.  The Rock not only advocates for exercise, and he believes in his models for health that we, the people, can follow along. He has now expanded his lifestyle by collaborating with Under Armour . Under Armour is well known for its gear in everything active. Their values are, “They’re
